Who is David Kaywood? 👊
I received an MDiv from Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis. I’m ordained in the Evangelical Free Church of America (EFCA) and serve as the Lead Pastor of Eastside Community Church in Jacksonville, Florida. I’m also the author of A Call to Contentment: Pursuing Godly Satisfaction in a Restless World (Christian Focus: March 2024). I live in Jacksonville with my wife and two children.
Before ministry, I received Sports Nutrition and Personal Training certifications through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (N.A.S.M.), and two undergraduate business degrees.

Productivity and Time-Management. I’ll demystify time management in the ministry. I’ll help you get the right things done in less time while staying faithful to your flock. You will discover helpful content on time management, productivity, goals, planning, scheduling, and more.
Health and Fitness. Many pastors report high-stress levels. We’ve spent many years studying theology and ministry, but are not as knowledgeable in self-care and fitness. With my background in supplement sales, I’ll help you with your diet, exercise, sleep, and nutrition to stay healthy.
Avoiding burnout. Although the stats vary, 60% of pastors quit within the first 5 years of ministry, and 80% quit within the first 10 years of ministry. Pastors and Productivity focuses on faithful, healthy, and sustainable ministry for the long haul.
